Im going to have to agree with 2DopeBoyz that, in fact this may be the only good thing that BET has done lately (great try for the Michael Jackson tribute, but I think BET’s Young Money got in the way of pleasing their OLD MONEY), nonetheless this artist should have already gotten this type of exposure a long time ago.

Today, where the R&B genre focuses more on sex appeal,tattoos,ass shaking, and drinks drinks drinks, it’s very hard for artist like Chrisette Michelle to thrive in an R&B genre where artist like her once dominated the music world will elegance,class,pure talent, and a respectable image. Although some artist still have that glow about them, the majority have moved into the Neo-Soul genre, and the others have sold their souls to the Auto-Tune.

On this episode of Rising Icons, Chrisette Michelle hits the stage and completely kills it! Her vocal range is impecable, as she has showcased before, but its a long time coming for her, and I am very glad she has the spotlight all to herself! Don’t let your Taste buds fall out ya mouth, because she can flatout sing!
